Q: What is live event painting?
A: Painting in front of a live audience or gathering. A live painting may be done during a special event, such as a wedding or anniversary party. Unlike a photographer, the live painter is part of the event itself. Guests enjoy watching the painting progress over the course of the event. The painting is a unique keepsake that captures the entire feel of the event, unlike a photograph that only records a moment in time.
Q: How long does a painting take?
A: The painting should be able to be completed during the event. I need to arrive several hours ahead to start painting in the background. Then the rest of the painting is done while the event is taking place. If needed, I can take it back to the studio to do some finishing touches.
Q: What materials are used? I use acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
