This painting is from anther photograph that I took when we were visiting Phoenix. I love the atomic 50s flair of the design, mixed with a touch of Southwest. I did the underpainting in red iron oxide and the preliminary drawing at home in my studio. The Parade of Artists was a big success, we had over 200 people coming through the gallery. The shuttle bus ran all day and took people around to the other venues. Lots of fun!
I am proud to announce that I have been accepted in to the Boerne Professional Artists Organization. I was also pictured in this month's Explore Magazine!
(Check out page 29) This weekend is the BPA's Parade of Artists. See Below for information.

Set up and painted for Second Saturday in Boerne. The weather was really nice. Photos show my set-up and progress after two hours of painting. I love old signs, especially if they are atomic 50s style. I took a few photos of this sign when I was on vacation in Phoenix.
This is a painting that I have been working on for 6 months now. I have started and stopped several times, but I am happy to say I think it is finished. Lucky for me there was no deadline on this one. The car is for an artist friend who is a VW enthusiast. It is 30" x 30" Acrylic on Canvas. Here are some photos of the piece in progress, and the finished painting.
I was invited to participate in the Monroe May Elementary Artwalk. It is a really cool event, featuring many art related activities, including demonstrations by artists. I did the underpainting in bright pink and I love the way it looks. I was able to set up and finish a new painting during the event. Here is a picture of the finished painting. Hope you like it!
Cow #1, 20" x 20" Acrylic on Canvas.
I set up and painted on Saturday in Boerne at the Texas Treasures Art and Artisans Gallery. Every second Saturday of the month, the art galleries in Boerne have "open house" with food, wine, and lots of art. I set up outside and painted on these two sweet burros for a few hours.
I painted this 18 x 24 Acrylic on Canvas painting at Second Saturday in Boerne at The Texas Treasure Art &Artisans Gallery, outside. It was a lot of fun to do. I love the bright teal of the truck with the orange pumpkins. For sale in the gallery, $850.
